Two Harley’s riding the quiet , sunny roads of east texas
Had a great ride today. Very little to no traffic on these quiet little back roads. It was only a 170 mile ride, but we’re old now. We don’t put the miles on like we did 20’years ago.

I’m the world’s best parts replacer. We are all old and none of us can afford to take a car to a dealer for repairs. It’s far far cheaper to google, make guess’s, and try installing new parts. In the points and condenser days, it was far easier to be good at diagnosing a problem on a car. Now, you can’t even afford not to try and fix your own vehicle, if you’re on social security.

The heat here is just to High for some that takes meds that warn me to stay out if the sun and heat. I’m not going to finish the fence until It cools down out of the 100 degree range. 102 today, 105 tomorrow. I won’t even be able to make it to the funeral. There’s no shade where it will be held. Basic training graduation picture. Everyone else’s parents were there to congratulate their young men on such a monumental,life changing achievement. Not mine. On a lighter note, I have all the poles up and ready for fence. Gotta take another day off though.

If it wasn’t for those huge roots, I would have dug the holes. I took the day off, doctor, groceries, nap. Tomorrow, I put the solenoid n bevs car, then the next day, I’ll get back to work on the fence. I’m so close to being done I can taste it!

The back pain I’m experiencing is about the worst I’ve ever had, but I’m determined to finish this project. I’m certain my back won’t get better until I finish. I’m gonna get this done, even if I have to crawl.

Man!!!! It’s getting harder and harder to convince my aching body to get up and work. Got all the posts driven, and 4x4’s cemented in. Tomorrow, I’ll run another 100 foot section of fence up. That will make 400 feet of fencing up, with another 120 feet to go.

Truck for nearly 4 decades, forced me to come to terms with being alone. Then I taught my wife to drive and for 20 years it was just her and I. I got real use to not having a lot of people around me , and I’m really glad the universe landed me where I am.
Thanks for taking us along on your ride. Waited until now, so I could watch it with Sis. Had to take her to the big city this morning for a doc appointment. I still envy you for the lack of traffic. Out in what most would call country (farm land) between two towns, there was one of those electronic traffic signs. Time to travel the "next 7 miles", was "16 minutes". Bumper to bumper. That was after the morning rush hour overload. Hope you and Charly have had a peaceful, quiet, uneventful day. And, that you will have the same for tonight. God bless. Godspeed.
Where we were was the heart of chicken farm country near center Texas. Center has a huge Tyson plant. I fully expected to see farm related traffic, but there was none. That’s a bit concerning. We take Bev to a doctor appointment tomorrow(I’ll drive her car). Today, I finished 500 feet of fence. I have 25 more feet to go, but I’m going to use cattle panels welded to the T posts.

@tattoowho 699 south out of Carthage is a great road! Good road surface and enough curves to keep you awake.
They say when you ride a Harley you don't need any music. All I can hear is wind noise. Could you slow down a bit next time? I can't hear the music.😂
My summer windshield is only a few inches tall. My winter windshield will shield the GoPro from the wind noise.

Yep. I finally got him on the phone after several months. He had to make sure I understood he was not only very wealthy and the pittance he owed me meant nothing to him, he also told me how important he was. Then he started bad mouthing terribly , the guy who started and owned the company. I knew him very well and he was a great guy that just got into a bind when the economy slowed. The rich guy bought the company for a song, made some structure changes, stopped all philanthropic efforts that the company was involved in. Now, it’s a very well made unit, but because the guy is such a jerk, I never want to be financially involved with them again.
I have one and it is very nice and fun to use.
I do enjoy mine.
From what I understand, they are the best. I remember when you had problems after ownership changed. Nice of you to pass along a good savings, despite what happened in the past. Hope you and Charly had a good time, today. Hope, too, that ya'll have a good evening. God Bless.

The old owner got into a financial bind because he was a generous guy. For every oven he sold, he would give one away to people villages in African and other poor countries where they cooked over fire. The guy that bought the company, did save it, so I gotta give him that, but he didn’t pay me and 100’s of other affiliates after we sold ovens through our links. It’s still a great solar oven but it’s a shame the new owner is such a dangling participle.

I have always been blessed with good USPS. FedEx is a story similar to yours with the post office. UPS has been pretty consistent, too.

I welded a chain onto the socket and I lock it up at night.
I know what the problem is it’s not a dodge jk I had to change plugs in my truck 6 hrs to change 16 plugs I hate engineers well it 2 hrs to change plugs on a 70 Monty dang headers
They’ve made them more complicated so they can drive you crazy enough to let them do it.

Interesting indeed! It’s a revolving door of new hires there. They typically last a month it two before they can’t work for the boss lady any more.

It took the USPS almost seven months to issue my insurance & refund check...I was rather unhappy with the service :(
I expect there to be many more hoops to jump through before they pay up.

The wife and I have noticed something recently. We have noticed that store shelves are empty and they are moving things together again to keep folks from noticing. This is a sign of the future events because of Joe and Kamala.
I’ve seen that thing where they move the few things out to the edge if the shelf to make it look like they have full shelves.
What a pain with that car's starter! I don't do any daily driving anymore. I have a cloudy oven right INSIDE my house! Happy Day!
